Our mission is to increase the number of long-term fans of Japanese culture. We strive to continuously promote Kyoto, which is not only Japan's Kyoto but also the world's Kyoto.

Thank you for visiting our website. Twenty-four years ago, I moved to Kyoto, captivated by its charm. Kyoto continues to enchant me not only with its rich history and esteemed traditions but also as a city that embraces innovative concepts and values.

In recent years, the issues of vacant houses and the effective use of small plots of land have become increasingly severe. I believe that these issues cannot be effectively addressed without considering the perspective of international tourists. Therefore, leveraging our expertise and experience in the inbound tourism business, we aim to accurately grasp the needs of both local communities and foreign tourists and consistently take proactive steps ahead of the times.

At Kitayama Trading Co., Ltd., our activities are centered on three main pillars: producing and managing boutique hotels that showcase Japan's exceptional craftsmanship and culture to domestic and international travelers, operating and improving accommodation-focused hotels suitable for the effective use of small plots of land, and renovating and operating traditional townhouse guesthouses, a venture we started in 2007.

Our mission is to increase the number of long-term fans of Japanese culture. We strive to continuously promote Kyoto, which is not only Japan's Kyoto but also the world's Kyoto. We are committed to making Kyoto a dynamic place for its residents and a second home for those from overseas who love the city.
